About this Project

The Whitehorse Senior’s Housing Project is part of a federal and territorial government initiative to support the construction and retrofit of 323 new and existing housing units across Yukon.

This project will provide 30 new apartments towards increasing the availability of quality, affordable housing for low-income seniors who need a stable, safe place to call home.

Ketza Group worked as general contractor on the project coordinating all aspects of construction. As part of the project requirements, the building meets Yukon’s Super GreenHome energy efficiency standards and abides by the Accommodating Home standards for a barrier-free living environment for residents with disabilities.

Substantial completion of the site was achieved February 28th, 2011 and most residents will be moved into the riverfront facility by April 2011. Ketza is pleased to be a part of this exciting project that will provide much needed housing for the community.
